Description
A Black-eyed Susan stands erect on its light green stem, its petals flowing out like the skirt of a spinning ballerina. Others like it are in the background, soft-focused dabs of yellow, brown, and green; but this one has stolen the spotlight. This one flower fills the frame, from the height of its dark brown cone to the width of its stretched-out petals. Larger than life, it fills the stage. The company, in like costume, dances in the rear. But the focus is on Susan.
