Description
The exquisite symmetry of a dandelion's seed pods, with its shining white parachutes, is a sight to behold. In this photo, the fluff fills the frame. The brilliant white, attached to the top of a long, slender stem, is anchored to the leftover center of what was once a vibrant yellow blossom. The core turns brown as it rusts with age. White stems catch the sunlight, filling the small sphere with a golden glow. The fireworks are about to begin, exploding the seeds into the air. Dandelions, bane of lawn keepers, beautiful in both bloom and seed.
