On a clean white cloth of linen lies a battered, old pocket watch, only a part of it showing, so close is the photo. The numbers in black -- 2, 3, 4 -- mark the hours, with the minutes 15, 20, 25, written smaller, above them, in blue. The brass casing, once shiny and new, shows the dents and scratches of time. The pattern of parallel crenelations has been marred. The second hand dial appears in the bottom corner, with the minute hand partially covering it, pointing to the "25". A life well lived, marking time for its owner.

I've always loved looking at nature, drifting along with the ever-changing clouds, stopping to smell the roses. God's creation gives an abundant and ever changing variety of subjects for me to capture. I enjoy photographing all of nature, from the wide vistas of mountains and valleys, right down to spiders, butterflies, and dewdrops. I bought my first camera, a Canon AE-1, in 1979, and practiced and experimented and asked questions. I still ask questions and read blogs; but I've never taken a formal course or workshop. I switched to digital in 2000, which allows more experimenting, with instant feedback, so I can correct a shot immediately. My current camera is a Nikon D-90, with a 28-300 and a macro.
