Description
A cluster of old silos fills the frame, against a sky of blue. All of them are tall and round -- each an enormous cylinder, with a smaller one attached. All are old; the distant ones have weathered to become dark and shadowy.
Their construction is of interlocking steel panels with wire hoops for strength. The vertical panels crossed by the horizontal cables form a pattern of vertical rectangles throughout the photo. Against the stark geometric patterns, wild vines climb the lattice, shooting every which way, adding a bit of nature to the buildings, making them look hairy.
The small bit of sky that is visible is blue, with wispy clouds blowing across in an unpredictable scattering. The sky and the vines together break up the starkness of the architecture, adding a touch of nature to the manmade scene.
