Description
A flock of seagulls cruises the coast at sunrise. Silhouetted against a golden sky, they fly in formation, paralleling the beach, moving left to right. They fly low, near the gray of the water, watching carefully, hoping the waves will churn up some food.
As the tide sucks water into the waves, dark shadows form against the light gray of the ocean. Flecks of yellow and orange lay across the water, a reflection of the rising sun. The sun itself is glowing a diffuse yellow-gold, its roundness being obscured by a light layer of clouds. Those clouds pick up the color and spread it, giving the whole sky a peachy hue. On the left, one small cloud, heavier than the others, adds a bit of mauve to the scene.
