Description
Three streams of water make their way down the face of a broken rock wall, joining together once again as they splash into the pool below. The center cascade is the largest, spreading its silken texture like the skirt of a wedding gown as it flows from top to bottom. It's balanced by the others, one on each side, small slender ribbons of satin.
The whiteness of the rushing water is offset by the dark boulders and the lush greenness of the trees that enwrap the scene. The clear pool in the foreground shows the sand and small smooth stones that from the creek bed, coloring the bottom of the image in shades of brown and tan.
Cupid Falls is on the campus of Young Harris College in northern Georgia.
