Reaching for God, the steeple stretches upward above the surrounding trees. The gray cone that forms the steeple roof is topped by a wind vane with an arrow; but the church's beliefs point to God. The building itself is beautiful, with a series of tall, thin windows around the steeple. The brickwork atop the sanctuary shows a crenelated border, reminiscent of an olden-day castle, standing strong against an unseen enemy, ready for battle.
I've always loved looking at nature, drifting along with the ever-changing clouds, stopping to smell the roses. God's creation gives an abundant and ever changing variety of subjects for me to capture. I enjoy photographing all of nature, from the wide vistas of mountains and valleys, right down to spiders, butterflies, and dewdrops. I bought my first camera, a Canon AE-1, in 1979, and practiced and experimented and asked questions. I still ask questions and read blogs; but I've never taken a formal course or workshop. I switched to digital in 2000, which allows more experimenting, with instant feedback, so I can correct a shot immediately. My current camera is a Nikon D-90, with a 28-300 and a macro.
