Artist's Description

Imagine a quiet spot along a grass-edged waterway, in the shade of an ancient and gnarled oak. The sand at the base of the tree is mottled and striped; sun alternates with shade. Three dark Adirondack chairs sit in the shade of the tree, looking out over a wide tidal creek. They invite the observer to relax with them.

The heavens are a checkerboard of blue, with small white clouds dotting its width. In the distance, a green strip of oaks and pines forms the horizon.
